Uncover the historical gems scattered across the Greek Isles with stays in beautiful Mykonos, charming Santorini and ancient Athens.

Your Greek adventure begins as you fly to Mykonos for a three night stay. Explore this picture-perfect island filled with whitewashed steps and square houses, with attractive blue doors. Take a walk along the waterfront, where fishing boats cast their reflections upon the bright blue waters. On the narrow, marble-clad streets you’ll see quirky shops known for their gold jewellery and white windmills resting on the hillside – keep an eye out for the odd pelican or two wandering down the streets, the island’s quirky mascot.

Next, embark a ferry to Santorini for a further four night stay. Here, you’ll find gorgeous hilltop villages to explore, along with volcanic beaches decorated with black, red or white sand. Take the winding coastal paths through fascinating rock formations and tiny villages with blue-domed roofs, stopping at a restaurant or two. One must-see attraction is the archaeological site of Akrotiri, which gives a fascinating glimpse into the past.

Your final destination is historic Athens where you’ll spend two nights, ample time to visit the Acropolis, a rocky outcrop first fortified by the Mycenaean Kings. Uncover its turbulent history as you stroll through the ruins and see a temple to the goddess Athena, the Parthenon and two impressive theatres. A visit to the National Archaeological Museum will reveal further treasures of this ancient city, home to Greek sculptures, jewellery, pottery and the Antikythera Device, a 2,000 year old ‘computer’ found in a shipwreck. For souvenirs, sleek restaurants and boutique shops, visit the Plaka, the oldest section of Athens.
