Your Itinerary

There’s always music in the air on board the MSC Musica. From the moment you step on board you’ll notice a little magic about this cruise ship – in the central foyer area you’ll find a three-tier waterfall and a semi-transparent grand piano suspended above a pool of glimmering water. There’s plenty of choice when it comes to restaurants. Food is hand-prepared by master sushi chefs in the authentic and minimalist Kaito Sushi Bar, and Il Giardino provides a taste of contemporary Italian cuisine.

Boldly yet delectably French in every way, from the decor to the croissants on the breakfast table. It is as if Reunion lay just off the coast of Cannes, and not thousands of miles away, just off the coast of Madagascar. Reunion's history began 3 million years ago as a mountain which built up slowly, rising in four successive stages to a towering peak of more than four thousand metres high. Over 500,000 years ago, a new volcanic ridge appeared on the south-eastern side and to this day it still spews out it's lava, slowly, patiently building Reunion.

The capital of Mauritius, Port Louis offers something for everyone. Shopaholics will have their cravings satisfied in every way. Birdwatchers will be fulfilled at Casela Bird Park. Water enthusiasts head straight for the island’s beaches. Many enjoy Grand Bay for sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing. La Cuvette beach or lovely Pereybere cove and south-easterly Blue Bay beach are ideal for bathing, windsurfing and sailing. Le Morne and Tamarin are popular for surfing and swimming. Flic en Flac, its white-sand beaches fringed with filaos and casuarinas, is perfect for sunbathing.

The gateway to Olympus and the site of the original Olympic Stadium. Walk on the original stadium track over 2000 years old or visit one of the extensive ruins that transcend time and help you envision what once was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Temple of Zeus. Other highlights include the Olympia Archaeological Museum where you will find the Head of Hera, the superb statue of Hermes of Praxiteles, the sculpted ornaments of the Temple of Zeus, and many other priceless works from ancient times.

Split is a charming historical town set against the ancient walls of Diocletian’s palace. For beautiful views of the pedestrianised Old Town, walk through the fisherman’s quarter of Varos up the narrow stone steeped streets. You could also visit the Split cathedral and Mestrovic gallery for an insight into the history and architecture of this town.
