Your Itinerary

Stockholm is a city deal for exploring by foot. Built where the Baltic Sea meets with Lake Mälaren, Stocklholm offers sparkling clear water, medieval old towns, cutting edge fashion and shops, an array of museums and galleries and friendly cafes and restaurants. Whatever you are looking for in Stockholm this beautiful City provides it.

With decor and design inspired by great Italian figures, and hallmark features of the nation’s proud shipping history running throughout its themed lounges, the Costa Fortuna is a charming and atmospheric choice for your cruise holiday of a lifetime. From the first sight of the spectacular central atrium you’ll be taken back in time. Superb models of the Costa line’s most beautiful ships greet new passengers to their modern counterpart. And the names of great vessels from yesteryear are brought right up to date, lending their mystique and magic to the restaurants, bars and entertainment lounges.

The city owes much of its charm to the buildings erected by Denmark’s monarchs, and boasts a treasure trove of late-Renaissance and Rococo architecture and is known as the Venice of the North. See the fabled statue of Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid, a symbol of the city and stroll along the old harbor of Nyhavn, lined with cafés, restaurants and 500-year-old gabled houses.

Amsterdam is colloquially known as the Venice of the North. Its lovely canals have more than 1,500 bridges that criss-cross the city and are surrounded by some impressive architecture. Take a leisurely stroll along the canals and follow the smell of the flowers to the Bloemenmarket. Visit the Albert Cuypstraat market or the diamond factories at Gassan Diamonds and Coster Diamonds. Other highlights include the Van Gogh Museum and Delft, famous for its pottery.

Called the Venice of the North because of the picturesque criss-crossing canals on which you can enjoy fascinating and romantic boat rides, Bruges actually has a character all its own. Bruges is rightly famous for its exquisite lacework, tasty chocolate and huge range of local beers while, from Zeebrugge, you can also visit another historic city, Ghent, the capital Brussels, and historic battlefield sites such as Waterloo and Ypres.

Le Havre in the beautiful region of Normandy offers inviting art galleries and cafés, as well as the outstanding St-Joseph’s Church. Take a day trip to nearby Paris and enjoy France’s cosmopolitan capital. The City of Lights is packed full of culture, with a lively music scene, world-famous art galleries, cafés, bars and some of the best food in the world to enjoy.

Vigo is set in a beautiful natural environment and its cultural scene far exceeds its size. Try the local seafood at the port, go shopping at the Rua do Príncipe, or brave the blue fire of the traditional Galacian punch drink queimada.

Cartagena is a city of contrasts between the old and new, between poverty and wealth, between legend and reality. The 17th century walled Old Town, and fortress are stunning World Heritage Sites, offering an insight into the old legends of this city. The colourful restored Spanish buildings line the streets of Old Town, with areas of immense poverty and round the corner, areas of extreme wealth. This city is one that will surprise and sadden you, intrigue and amaze you.

The Catalan capital is one of Spain’s favourite cities. Visit Antoni Gaudi’s inspiring La Sagrada Familia with its ornate spires, explore aromatic food markets full of locally grown cured meats and vegetables or head to the beautiful beaches within walking distance of the city centre. Why not explore the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, which offers a stunning view over the city and houses Spain’s largest collection of Catalan art?
