Tristan da Cunha

Tristan da Cunha

A tiny British outpost in the South Atlantic Ocean, Tristan da Cunha is the world’s most isolated inhabited island. With no airstrip, it’s accessible only by boat and is home to 250 people who are always ready with friendly welcome for visitors. Essentially the island is a one big dormant volcano, the summit of which is known as Queen Mary’s Peak, and is cat-free to protect its rare bird species. Rugged, windswept, compact and remote, it’s a destination you’re unlikely to visit twice in your life.
